About Pulse Oximeter
Pulse Oximeter is required for real time monitoring of oxygen saturation of a person. It works on principle of a non-invasive technique using an electronic processor and small LEDs. This device works by detecting absorption of light at different wavelengths which differ in blood loaded with Oxygen or without O2. Pulse Oximeter is made having a portable structure with a small screen where results are showed with pulse rate. It comprises a small clip-like structure which is generally clamped at index finger of a person for use.
